The City of Chattanoooga + local nonprofit Signal Centers have unveiled the official ornament of 2024.

This tradition began in 2022 with the inaugural ornament depicting City Hall + each year, all proceeds go directly toward the HART Gallery. Now, you can decorate your trees with a little bit of the magic that the Chattanooga Choo Choo brings.

“The Chattanooga Choo Choo is a community icon and its transformation, reinvention, and historic preservation embody the spirit of our city,” said Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly.

The metal die-cut ornament can be purchased through the gallery (in-store or online), the Choo Choo’s gift shop + surrounding art galleries. Each ornament box will also include an insert of local artist Dominique Pruitt’s “Goddess Express” — the inspiration for this year’s collectible.

Bonus: You can still pick up the official ornaments of 2023 (a homage to the Tennessee Aquarium) + 2022.

Presented By Scenic Community Credit Union

Let’s talk financial decluttering.

Why? Because messy money habits can derail even the best-laid plans to build wealth by:
  • Slowing your yearly growth
  • Increasing the chance of missed payments
  • Potentially hurting your credit score
Simple solutions

According to the experts, these three simple steps are the key to regaining control:

Step one: Organizing

Start by organizing all your accounts in a spreadsheet, including:
  • Financial
  • Credit cards
  • Loans
  • Insurance
  • Retirement
  • Investments
Pro tip: Compare your Loan Rates and Deposit Rates with other financial institutions to see if you could be saving more.

Step two: Consolidating

Next, consolidate accounts to simplify management. This could mean combining accounts at one institution or combining retirement plans + savings into a single account.

Step three: Automating

Finally, use automation tools like alerts and direct deposits to streamline your finances, helping you avoid mistakes and save time each month.
