CARTA is getting a $1.46 million boost from TDOT to improve transit across Chattanooga. The funding will support new mobility hubs with multiple transportation options, protective barriers for bus drivers, a state-of-the-art training simulator, and upgrades to the Wilcox Boulevard facility. The W Road will be closed from 8 to 11 a.m. tomorrow, Jan. 1, for a community cleanup. Drivers can get on or off Signal Mountain using Taft Highway or Roberts Mill Road. (Local 3 News)
