Chattanooga, it’s finally here — Opening Day at Erlanger Park. The Lookouts will play their first game in their brand-new stadium at 7 p.m. tonight.
Here’s what you need to know before heading out the door:
📲 Keep it clear + digital
All bags bigger than 6x10 inches will need to be clear. If you don’t have a clear bag, don’t fret — the Lookouts will be giving them out for free tonight.
Game tickets are digital only, so make sure you have them ready on your phone.
Erlanger Park is cashless, but gift cards can be purchased in the team store.
🅿️ Parking options
There are two unpaved lots near the stadium, and parking will cost $8 at both.
The larger lot at the corner of 28th and Sidney streets holds about 1,300 vehicles.
The smaller lot on Chestnut Street holds about 800 vehicles.
Other options include a small private lot on Chestnut Street and the Finley Stadium lot.

Weather
Get ready for the heat. Local meteorologists are predicting record highs this week without much rain in sight. We can’t change the forecast, but we can change how we react. It might be a good time to treat yourself to something cold and delicious. (Local 3 News)
Biz
Speaking of cold treats, Clumpies has a new owner — but she isn’t a new face. Clumpies chef Ashley Bottoms purchased both shops from Rock City, and the attraction’s PR manager, Pepper Raper, said, “We’re excited to see it continue under local ownership by someone who truly knows the brand.” (Local 3 News)
Development
A seven-story mixed-use building could replace the abandoned Parkway Towers near the First Horizon Pavilion and Finley Stadium. Psst — it’s the one with the word “JUNK” spray-painted on it. The plan is for the building to include commercial and residential space. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)
Environment
Doing some spring cleaning? If you have stuff you’re ready to get rid of, there’s a free Recycling Roundup this Saturday, April 18 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Volkswagen Conference Center. Safely get rid of things like electronics, mattresses, tires, scrap metal, and more.
Ranked
Tennessee clocked in at No. 12 on a new WalletHub ranking of the best states for working from home. The report weighed factors like internet costs, home size, and cybersecurity, but we’d argue there’s one more metric that matters: great outdoor work spots. Luckily, Chattanooga delivers.

There’s something new and beautiful on Veterans Bridge — and it’s so Chattanooga. This 1,800-sqft printed mural, called “Chattanooga Flows,” was created by local artist SEVEN. It depicts outdoor activities, including rock climbing and paddleboarding.
If you haven’t seen it yet, don’t rush. The mural is expected to stay up for at least five years.
This No. 1 best-selling jelly tote bag that we’re low-key obsessed with for spring and summer. The tip-proof design keeps your tote upright, but it still folds flat to pack or store. It’s also waterproof, easy to clean, and carry-on approved — hello, beach vacay bag. Grab your favorite color (we like iridescent) and let the compliments pour in.
On Friday, we helped you choose your own weekend festival based on what you needed most at the time. According to the results, most of you headed to the Chattanooga Outdoor Festival.
As for me? I went to the Corgi Parade at the Hello St. Elmo! Street Festival — and I have zero regrets.
