Riverbend Festival kicks off tomorrow, and whether you love it or hate it, it’ll likely impact your weekend in some waythat’s why we created a festival guide for everyone.

Road closures

  • Riverfront Parkway | Between N. Molly Lane intersection + E. Aquarium Way
  • Chestnut Street | Between W. Aquarium Way + Riverfront Parkway
  • Power Alley | Between W. Aquarium Way + Riverfront Parkway

On Sun., June 5, the following closures will also take place:

  • The southbound lane of Market Street between Cherokee Boulevard + E. 1st Street beginning at 8 a.m.
  • Full closure of Market Street (including pedestrians) will begin at 10:45 p.m. + reopen once fireworks end

Where to park this weekend

  • Republic lot | 201 W. Aquarium Way | Closest lot to the festival
  • CARTA North lot | 115 W. 3rd St. | Within close proximity
  • EPB lot | 10 W. MLK Blvd. | A further walk (but has coffee on the way)

If you’re hunting for cheaper parking, check out this guide . You can also utilize Chattanooga’s newest electric transportation business Whip (or Chattanooga’s bike transit system) if you prefer not to drive.

Where to eat nearby

While the festival will offer a variety of concessions , if you’re in the mood for some local eats + seats (plus air conditioning), check out these nearby spots:

  • Agave & Rye , 185 Chestnut St. | This spot can get pretty busy, but the margs are worth it
  • Big River Grill , 222 Broad St. | The perfect hangout for a break from the sun
  • Scottie’s on the River , 491 Riverfront Pkwy. | Take a stroll down the Riverwalk to grab a bite at this spot
  • Sitar Indian Cuisine , 200 Market St. | This spot is one of our all-time favorites
  • Stone Cup Café or Rembrandt’s , various locations | If you find yourself in need of a pick-me-up, check out one of these nearby local coffee shops

What you can’t bring

  • Non-clear bags, framed backpacks, or bags larger than 12x12x6 (think: similar to stadium rules)
  • Coolers
  • Hammocks
  • Glass containers — or any outside food + beverage
  • Pets
  • Selfie sticks
  • Skateboards, scooters + bikes
  • Wagons or carts
  • Tents or shade structures
  • Chairs (your lawn chair should sit this one out)
