What not to miss:

The French toast bites. They aren’t vegan, but Trista even took a nibble and said they were great. Chloé here, and now that I’ve had the dish done Ruby Sunshine-style, I don’t want it any other way.

Pro-Tip: The mimosas + other spirits start flowing first thing at Ruby Sunshine, so don’t be bashful to order. Trista gave hers a 10/10. If you’re alcohol-free, like Chloé, it’s always a best brunch practice to order at least two drinks – and there are plenty to pick from, including lattes and lemonade.

What we’re still talking about:

For Trista, it’s the NOLA twist and the seamless vegan accommodation. She loved the New Orleans style of her plantains and black beans, plus they loaded her up with extras like avocado to make the meal vegan.

Want something a bit simpler? Building your own omelet is the way to go. The dish came with potatoes and a biscuit — everything you could want out of brunch. The family-owned restaurant also recently added biscuits and gravy, thanks to customer demand.

Chloé has not stopped talking or thinking about the French toast bites. 🤣 No. Seriously.

We also had the patio to ourselves for the most part, which was ideal. And our server, Stacy S., was lovely — there when you needed her but not hovering, and pleasant to talk to. Doesn’t get better than that.
