Chattanooga, I have some very important business with you. Trista here, and my Super Bowl is coming up — the Oscars. However, when I search Google for “Oscar parties in Chattanooga,” nothing comes up. 🧐 Either y’all are hiding them from me or you don’t care, but either way, something’s gotta change.

The Oscars are the most exciting awards show (don’t fight me on that), and they’re happening on Sun., Feb. 9. That’s so soon. Film is something I’ve clung to as a medium for great storytelling, and I know I’m not alone here. When I lived in Austin, TX, the city was rife with viewing parties (this one being my favorite — raise your hand if you want to recreate it here 🙋), and there are so many great venues in Chattanooga for us to do the same. So give me the scoop — is there something I’m missing, or do we need to organize an Oscars party, stat?

And while I have you here, these are a few of my hopeful Oscar predictions — I’d love to hear yours, too.
