Calling all grandparents. Looking for some fun things to do around Chattanooga with your grandchildren? Good thing the Scenic City has plenty of options to make a day out on the town with the grandkids one to remember.

🗓️ For more than one visit
Consider purchasing a grandparent or family membership from The Creative Discovery Museum , Tennessee Aquarium + Chattanooga Zoo . These memberships offer unlimited visits for a year and include the kids’ admission.
📚 Spend some time at the Chattanooga Public Library
Have grandchildren of all ages? The Chattanooga Library has events + activities for babies, toddlers, tweens, and teens. Check out their event calendar for story times, arts and crafts, and more.
🚂 Take a train ride
Bring the love for toy trains to life with a local train ride through Missionary Ridge . The Tennessee Valley Railroad also offers holiday-themed train rides if you want to plan ahead.
🧗 Stop by Outdoor Chattanooga
If your family is full of nature + outdoor activity lovers, Outdoor Chattanooga has several options to spend your day. We recommend trying out rock climbing on the Walnut Wall.
🌳 Enjoy Coolidge Park
Grab some food from a nearby restaurant for a picnic, take a ride on the carousel, and bring a frisbee, kite, or ball for a day of fun in the park. Bonus: you can also check out some of Chattanooga’s underrated parks for more fun.

Play pinball + classic arcade games at The Chattanooga Pinball Museum — admission allows you unlimited play.
🍦 Grab some ice cream

and walking along the Walnut Street Pedestrian Bridge was one of my favorite activities to do as a kid.
