Hotel Indigo is moving into downtown Chattanooga (300 W. 6th St.) as the 300 apartments become part of the city’s history.

The 117-room boutique hotel was announced in May of 2018, and after many renovations, the doors will be open to guests in February of 2020.

Here’s what those staying in the Indigo can expect:

🌇 City views

🐶 Pet-friendly

🍽️ Full-service restaurant

🍹 Lounge with bar and tapas

🏋🏽‍♀️ Health and fitness center

🖥️ Business center

The building, formerly “The 300” apartments, was acquired in 2018 for $6 million by developers ViaNova. They didn’t want to put just another hotel in this space, though — ViaNova’s goal was to create a space that complements the local scene. “It fits in the West End -- It goes hand in hand,” said Vic Desai, a ViaNova partner.

Instead of another “corporate-type” hotel, the Indigo will provide guests a unique Chattanooga experience in the West Village area. We haven’t had a chance to see how they’ll add Nooga personality to the space, but as soon as we do, you’ll know.

This isn’t the only boutique lodging experience in the heart of downtown. In fact, you may have noticed the city has more and more hotels popping up, and it’s easy to understand why after looking at the rapid growth Chattanooga has been experiencing. Unemployment is at an all-time low, meaning there are more jobs and economic growth, which in turn brings in tourists and boosts the hospitality industry. Ready or not, the times are changing in our small city.

Ready to book a room? You can do that here, but they won’t be ready until February 16, 2020, so plan accordingly.
