Hi, Brianna here. I’ve been one of the NOOGAtoday interns since June.

This is how Brianna feels about working at NOOGAtoday. | Gif by Giphy

Working as an intern has taught me quite a lot about not only aspects of this specific job, but internships in general.

Brianna’s tips to land the internship:

Know about the company/org you want to work with. Research their mission, goals, employees and understand why their work is important.
Don’t be afraid to follow up once or twice if you don’t hear back.
Always have an updated resume + work samples handy.

Obviously, NOOGAtoday is the best internship opportunity I could have chosen. So far I’ve been in a helicopter (twice!), rode a water bike on the Tennessee River, attended countless groundbreakings and press conferences, met some pretty cool people, and worked with the greatest editors.

In my eyes, internships are truly one of the best ways to gain experience.

So, from a current intern’s perspective—what are some of the best internship opportunities in Chattanooga? I’ve done the digging, pulled from my experiences + evaluated what I think are the best opportunities to get local experience working as a young adult.
