Good morning, Chattanooga. 👋 NOOGAtoday’s resident plant-eater, Trista, here. When I first moved to Nooga after living in Asheville, NC + Austin, TX, I was worried there wouldn’t be a lot of vegan options, and I’ve been blown away by how wrong I was.

A few weeks ago I got to volunteer at our city’s first vegan festival, and it was a huge success. I stood in line at Willow St. Deli’s secret pop-up and enjoyed some of the best food I’ve ever had, hands down. Last weekend I traveled to Atlanta for their vegan festival and indulged to the max, then I came home to news that a Fort Oglethorpe vegan cafe, Real Roots, is expanding to a downtown location.

On top of all this, Dunkin’ Donuts just released its Beyond Sausage breakfast sandwich, Burger King has the Impossible Burger + KFC is launching vegan fried chicken soon. It’s a really good time to be a veghead, y’all. 🌱

We want to know where you go in town for some plant-based goodness. We know the pioneers, like Cashew and Sluggo’s, and there are the less obvious spots, like Mean Mug and The Bitter Alibi, and I’m sure places that aren’t even on my radar. So help me out I want to know where to find the best vegan food and the dish I need to order while I’m there. 😋

And you guessed it, I’m using your input to help build a Chattanooga vegan food guide, so be on the lookout. 👀
