We’re putting the call out again today + highlighting a few women who you said deserved the positive attention.

The women we want to highlight don’t have to be CEOs, they just need to be doing work worth recognizing.

Meet Amanda Jelks

🌟2018 Emerging Business of the Year winner

Through her law firm, Jelks helps clients plan estates so their loved ones are taken care of after they are gone. She also provides legal sessions to startups through The Company Lab, and helps new businesses with other services, such as drafting contracts.

On why she loves Chattanooga…

“I love the diversity...I love how open the business community is. People will just sit down and tell you all the lessons they had to learn the hard way. There’s a certain amount of comradery among small business owners.”

I am specifically interested in the ways in which being a gender-identified woman in today’s society psychologically affects these individuals. Next step is grad school and research, and my ultimate goal (as of right now) is licensure as a feminist counselor.”
