Coolidge Park, one of Chattanooga’s most beloved landmarks named after Medal of Honor recipient Charles H. Coolidge, celebrates its 25th anniversary this weekend.

The award-winning riverfront park was completed in 1999 by HGOR + the River Front Development Committee, which focused on optimizing the green space adjacent to the Tennessee River.

The plans included a major open space, stabilization of the riverfront area + increased connectivity through an extensive walkway system.

Over the years, the park has acquired several amenities to spark joy among residents + visitors like the restored carousel, an interactive play fountain, and the Outdoor Chattanooga Center.
