We ain’t afraid of no ghost — but we are scared of sewage backup, power outages, and potholes. We rounded up a few resources to answer the age-old question posed by “Ghostbusters": Who ya gonna call?

If there’s something strange...

Drainage issues | For water or sewage backup, or other drainage problems, call 311, use the “CHA 311" app, or submit a request online.

Animal collection | Call 423-643-6311 to have the city pick up a dead animal on any public street.

...in your neighborhood

Barking dogs | If it isn’t a mischievous spirit keeping you up at night, but your neighbor’s pooch instead, call McKamey Animal Center at 423-305‑6500.

Potholes | Stop swerving and call 311, use the “CHA 311" app, or submit a request online.

If there’s something weird...

Environmental health problems | Call the Chattanooga‑Hamilton County Air Pollution Control Bureau at 423-643-5970 for air quality issues + the Tennessee Department of Environment & Conservation at 423-634-5745 (or 311) for water quality issues.

Hazardous waste | There are many things in your home that are more toxic than ectoplasm. To safely get rid of hazardous waste, check the list of acceptable materials and drop them off at Chattanooga’s collection facility.

....and it don’t look good

Tree concerns | Citizens are responsible for trees on their own property, but the city will take care of issues regarding trees on public land. For fallen trees or broken limbs, call 311, use the “CHA 311" app, or submit a request online.

Power issues | For streetlight outages and downed power lines, call EPB at 423-648-1372 or report the outage online.
