CNBC created a list of seven cities that are drawing attention for having strong entrepreneurial ecosystems and the Gig City is on the list. “Chattanooga has been making headlines as having a fast emerging tech sector with a strong start-up ecosystem,” writer Jimmy Im said in the piece. The article mentions the city’s high-speed internet from EPB, as well as the Innovation District. CEO of Chattanooga startup Bellhops Luke Marklin told CNBC that the cost of living is also attractive. Other cities, including Atlanta, Boston and Cincinnati, also made the list.
