Last fall, The Pop-Up Project’s “If These Walls Could Talk...” performance brought thousands of folks together at Mill Town, a mixed-use development near the Oak Grove + Ridgedale neighborhoods.

This year, the dance production company has continued its partnership with Mill Town to present “Until the Sun Rises,” an immersive show that will allow audience members to step inside the action — experiencing dance, music, and installation art in a new way.

The show was written and produced by The Pop-Up Project’s Co-Founder and Director Jules Downum + choreographer Jeri Eduave and will be performed inside Coosa Mill (the Standard Coosa Thatcher building at the center of Mill Town).

“This year’s show is full of heart, and is based on stories from individuals whose moral beauty we find inspiring,” said Downum.

This year’s show will open up more spaces within the Coosa Mill than ever before.

So, how will the show work? The Pop-Up Project invites attendees to choose their own adventure, meaning you will be able to decide how much you want to be involved in the show. Upon your arrival, you’ll choose from a variety of stickers:

  • Green sticker | Performers may engage with you
  • Yellow sticker | Performers will approach with caution
  • Red sticker | Indicate you would rather not be engaged with by performers

Audience members will move locations throughout the three-hour show, following the dancers throughout the space. Each room, hallway, stairway, and corner will deliver a unique experience.
Pro tip: Chairs will be available to take a break during the performances, but if you would prefer to sit throughout the entirety of the show, we recommend attending the seated performance on Access Night .

Ready to embark on your adventure? There will be five performances of “Until the Sun Rises” with the opening night showing on Friday, Nov. 3. at 7:30 p.m.

Bonus: Keep the fun going at the pre-parties.
