Culture on 4, an event series hosted by Chattanooga’s Office of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy + Chattanooga Public Library’s 4th Floor, will return this March.

The series aims to bring the world of arts, culture, and entertainment to Chattanoogans by hosting conversations with artists, writers, and performers.

On Saturday, March 15, folks will have the opportunity to hear from celebrated poet, novelist, playwright, and cultural critic Ishmael Reed, who was born in Chattanooga.

Beginning at 6:30 p.m., Reed will be joined by local entrepreneur Lakweshia Ewing to discuss his career + impact on literature and culture. Notably, he will also perform his original composition, “The Chattanooga Suite” — a reflection on his birthplace.

Culture on 4 events are free + attendees will be admitted on a first-come, first-served basis until the seating limit is reached. Pro tip: Learn more about Reed and check out some of his major works before attending the event.
