When you think of the 1970s, what comes to mind? Some might say “Star Wars,” Apple computers, disco balls, or other icons. The Soddy-Daisy Community Library (SDCL) wants to know your take on the time period with its Funky Bookmark Art Contest.

In partnership with ArtsBuild, the contest is open to folks of all ages residing in Hamilton County. Note: You don’t have to be a member of the library to participate.

Bookmarks and contest forms must be dropped off at SDCL by Friday, March 8 at 4 p.m. Three winners will be selected per age category (elementary, middle school, high school + adult), and a winner reception and unveiling will be held at the library on Friday, April 5.

The winners will each earn a cash prize + the first-place winners in each category will have their bookmarks printed to be given out at the library + area schools and organizations.
