When you think of the 1970s, what comes to mind? Some might say “Star Wars,” Apple computers, disco balls, or other icons. The Soddy-Daisy Community Library (SDCL) wants to know your take on the time period with its Funky Bookmark Art Contest .

In partnership with ArtsBuild , the contest is open to folks of all ages residing in Hamilton County. Note: You don’t have to be a member of the library to participate.

Bookmarks and contest forms must be dropped off at SDCL by Friday, March 8 at 4 p.m. Three winners will be selected per age category (elementary, middle school, high school + adult), and a winner reception and unveiling will be held at the library on Friday, April 5.

The winners will each earn a cash prize + the first-place winners in each category will have their bookmarks printed to be given out at the library + area schools and organizations.
