Earlier this month, we asked: Which Chattanooga restaurant do you miss the most?

Piece of cake, right? NOOGAtoday readers sent us food for thought — let’s stroll down memory lane because we love a moment of local nostalgia.

Mojo Burrito

It’s no secret that Chattanoogans miss this local Tex-Mex spot. Wendy F. said this spot had the freshest, best recipes that were healthy and affordable + Julie-Ann M. especially misses the fish tacos.

The Loft

Readers had much to say about The Loft, with Jean W.L. reminiscing about the steaks, chops, and seafood + David S. thinking about the prime rib, happy hour, and wonderful staff.

Nico’s

Brent M. said this spot on 14th and Cowart Streets had the best shrimp and grits + Mariko T. still pines for a plate of the fried green tomatoes that were topped with prosciutto, arugula, goat cheese, and roasted tomato vinaigrette.

Mount Vernon

Amaretto pie and the celery salad dressing — readers Kit H. + Doug S. miss these signature dishes. Plus, we heard some love about the cozy atmosphere and reasonable prices from Don Z.

Nikki’s

Reader Cynthia G. said this spot had the best onion rings and shrimp in the South + Mary M. misses the burgers, too.

Our Instagram + Facebook followers also weighed in with several spots they miss the most — an extra shout-out to Terra Nostra, Mom’s Italian Villa, Town and Country, Mudpie, and Beast and Barrel.
