It’s time to prepare your calendars (and stomachs) for the return of Gratefull — a citywide community luncheon — on Thursday, Nov. 16.

From 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., you can gather in the 200 block of E. MLK Boulevard to fill up plates with all your favorite Thanksgiving classics, and eat alongside other residents during this free event.

This potluck-style initiative began in 2014 by local nonprofit Causeway with a mission to bring folks from all backgrounds to share a meal at a table where there is a seat for everyone. The concept has since been adopted by other cities in Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia.

Bonus: Attendees are encouraged to bring donation items for the Maclellan Shelter for Families — think: nonperishable food, coffee supplies, disposable tableware + hygienic supplies.

Want even more ways to be in the giving spirit? Volunteer for Gratefull or sign up as a sponsor + supporter via email.
