Try Big Bad Breakfast for anything but a bad time.

In case you missed it, earlier this year the NorthShore area welcomed James Beard award-winning Chef John Currence with the opening of Big Bad Breakfast .

Located at 313 Manufacturers Rd., this breakfast and lunch spot is a perfect destination to meet your friends or take those out-of-towners this holiday season. Recently Editors Kristen + Haley got to enjoy their morning with brunch, and we’re hashing out all the details.

Here are some of our must-haves from the menu :

  • Biscuits | Regular with jam + the “Cathead” chicken biscuit | These biscuits are made in-house daily and were the perfect amount of fluffy — we recommend trying all jam offerings (but the blackberry was our favorite).
  • Main dishes | Huevos rancheros grit bowl, avocado toast, sun-dried cranberry + almond granola, and French toast | From the pork sausage (Fun fact: BBB gets all meat specially curated for its menu) to the soft texture of the French toast, it’s hard to pick a favorite on the menu.
  • Drinks | Fresh squeezed mimosa, breakfast margarita + BBB Coffee Blend drip coffee | Enjoy your brunch with classic craft cocktails and even try the spot’s coffee roasted by Royal Cup Coffee.
