Today is Giving Tuesday , a worldwide celebration of generosity + opportunity to give back to the community.

We’re breaking down some of the local organizations participating in, and offering charitable giving incentives for, Giving Tuesday this year, so it’s even easier for you to do some good.

Chambliss Center for Children | Chambliss Center for Children is hosting a social media campaign, and is hoping to gain 20 new donors + raise $21,000 this Giving Tuesday.

Chattanooga State | In honor of Giving Tuesday, all donations to Chattanooga State Foundation’s Workforce Training Scholarship through Dec. 1 will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $3,000, by an anonymous donor.

Girls Inc. | An anonymous donor will match all donations to Girls Inc. up to $5,000 for Giving Tuesday. You can also grab a cocktail or dinner at Flying Squirrel from 5-9 p.m. today, and the restaurant will donate a percentage of all proceeds to Girls Inc.

Latina Professionals of Chattanooga | Give support by donating and then downloading the organization’s flyer + sharing a post on social media. Use the hashtags #unselfie, #givingtuesday, and #latinaprofchatt, and the organization will repost it.

Net Resource Foundation | The Net Resource Foundation set a $10,000 fundraising goal for Giving Tuesday to expand its food pantry services, especially as the number of people in need of food is expected to increase during the holidays.

United Way | This is the third year in a row that United Way will be participating in Giving Tuesday, in which all proceeds will go towards the organization’s 211 servicea free + confidential service that serves thousands across the Tennessee Valley by uniting them with local resources.
