A local retail business specializing in tobacco and cannabidiol oil products and gifts will be opening its third and largest Chattanooga location downtown. Hipster Vibes, which has two other locations in Hixson and Brainerd, offers a variety of products ranging from clothing, tapestries, tobacco products, cannabidiol products, jewelry and candles. The new location will also offer a larger selection of incense and handblown glass pieces. Owner Caitlin Hart said when looking for her next location, the storefront at 811 Market St. chose her more than she chose it. “I had been looking at places downtown for about a year and either couldn’t find what I was looking for in vacant spaces or they weren’t in that perfect, centrally located area,” Hart said. “This space had a lease being negotiated that fell through so they offered me to take a look at it several months after I originally contacted them about the space, and it was perfect.” She said she likes the space’s close location to the newly-renovated Miller Park and UTC as well as the high volume of foot traffic and parking spaces outside her door. "[They] were all factors I was considering when looking at locations,” Hart said. Hart said she hopes to open as early as Oct. 1. Alina Hunter-Grah is a contributing writer.
