Labor Day weekend is just around the corner + we’ve got a list of events to celebrate the last big summer weekend. From an early-morning dance party to a street food festival — this summer is going out with a bang. ☀️

7AM Dance Party | Fri., Sept. 3 | 7 a.m.-12 p.m. | Moxy Hotel, 1220 King St. | Free | Kick off the long weekend the right way with strong coffee from Sleepyhead + dancing. 🕺

Football and the Civil War: How the Game Transcends Time | Sat., Sept. 4 | 2 p.m. | Chickamauga Battlefield | Free | This ranger-led program examines the links between the Civil War and American football. 🏈

Labor Day Weekend Silent Party | Sat., Sept. 4 | 8 p.m.-12 a.m. | Moxy Hotel, 1220 King St. | $20+ | Attendees wear wireless headphones and tune in to different DJ stations, then boogie on the dance floor with others dancing to whatever’s in their headphones. 🎧

SheBop Pop Up | Sun., Sept. 5 | 11 a.m.-6 p.m. | Mojo Burrito (unopened location), 3512 Dayton Blvd. | Free+ | Shop from vintage vendors, enjoy food + desserts from Cashew (plus drinks by The Moxy), and bring 3 clothing items for a clothing swap. 👗

Street Food Festival | Sun., Sept. 5 | 11 a.m.-4 p.m. | First Horizon Pavilion | Free | Eat from a smorgasbord of donuts, tacos, stir-fry, pizza, empanadas, BBQ, ice cream, salads, juices, and rice bowls. 🍕

Lula Lake Open Gate Day | Sun., Sept. 5 | 9 a.m.-5 p.m. | Lula Lake Land Trust, 5000 Lula Lake Rd. | $15 | Spend the day in nature with 8+ miles of trails, bluff views, and a 120-foot waterfall. 🥾

Labor Day BBQ Fundraiser | Mon., Sept. 6 | 11 a.m.-2 p.m. | Maple Street Biscuit Co. parking lot, 2020 Gunbarrel Rd. | Donations accepted | Enjoy Labor Day while eating BBQ + sides for a good cause. 😋
