Locally produced national talk show “More Than the Music” with Stacy Newman returned with brand new content this week, featuring none other than the late Leslie Jordan.

In this tribute, Newman sits down with Jordan and singer-songwriter Danny Myrick during the 2022 Riverbend Festival to chat about their collaboration on the album “Company’s Comin’.” Not only does this album feature many other music legends like Dolly Parton and Brandi Carlile, but it was also Jordan’s last piece of work.

Myrick said getting artists to work on the album was easy because of how much people loved Jordan. “We DM’ed them,” Jordan said. “Every one of them said ‘oh yeah we’ll sing with you.’”

Missed it? Well shoot... what are y’all doin’? Tune in for an encore episode on The Heartland Network Sunday, March 5 at 8 p.m.
