Summer is right around the corner, and Chattanooga schools are sending their students off with summer reading assignments — but we’re not letting adults off the hook.

Here’s your official summer reading list, but don’t worry, they’re just suggestions + you won’t be quizzed.

“Realm Leaper” by P.E. Craven
Recommended by: Rêve Coffee and Books
This fantasy + romance novel by local author Craven follows protagonist Sage as she reclaims her memories and fights against evil forces with her new companion, Gavin. This is the first book of a series, with the third installment coming this summer.

“Run for the Hills” by Kevin Wilson
Recommended by: The Book & Cover
The author’s latest book follows small town Tennessee farmer Madeline Hill, who discovers she has a long-lost step brother. The two embark on a road trip to locate their father and share family tales along the way.

“A Court of Thorns and Roses” by Sarah J. Maas
This fantasy novel is the first installment of a bestselling series that follows Feyre, a huntress who finds romance when she’s captured by an immortal faerie. This book comes at the recommendation of Chattanooga Public Library readers — it was the most-borrowed book of 2024.
