Happy Thursday, Nooga. We’re out of the office today at our annual company retreat. This year we’re visiting Greenville, South Carolina.

So, here’s a little #TBT on the top stories we’ve covered this year. Just in case you missed them…

West End developers laid out their vision for 112 acres of prime real estate along the Tennessee River, where manufacturer Alstom used to be. Planners dubbed the area — which will have office space, townhomes, condos + entertainment and food options — the West End.

TopGolf is, in fact, coming. When we wrote about it in July, the news was just breaking but now we know that the multimillion-dollar venue that will take up a 16-acre tract near Camp Jordan in East Ridge is slated to open next summer.

Market South opened to warm responses in September. The new food hall includes a brewery and coffee shop + several food options, from pizza to Indian street food.

CBD shops have been popping up all over NOOGA + we gave you a guide to understanding the substance, which — unlike THC — doesn’t get you high. Instead, it’s used to treat a variety of ailments.

The second annual Lookout Comedy Festival went off without a hitch this year. From exciting headliners (think DeAnne Smith and Hilliary Begley), to variety shows + a poppin’ after-party, this festival really set the stage for next year’s, so be on the lookout, y’all.
