With summer in full swing, our HVACs are working overtime to keep our homes cool (and us comfortable).

But that extra mileage increases the risk of an untimely breakdown. That’s why we’ve rounded up three tips from Ascend Air Solutions to ensure your HVAC hums along all season long without breaking a sweat.

🔧 DIY adjustments

  1. Set your thermostat to 74 — To prevent nonstop running (and save on energy bills), Ascend recommends keeping your home around 74 during the day.
  2. Keep your filters fresh — DYK? Dirty air filters make systems work up to 15% harder to maintain the same temps.
  3. Keep your unit clean + clear — The outside unit can become a hotspot for leaves, grass clippings, etc. Remove debris regularly + trim nearby plants two feet in all directions to maintain uninterrupted airflow.

If you need maintenance or repairs, Ascend Air Solutions’ techs can tighten, calibrate, and inspect every inch of your system to improve efficiency and extend its lifespan.
