Whether you need to get out of the house or whether December 25 is just another day in the week for you, it can be frustrating trying to find a restaurant or bar that’s open on Christmas Day.

So we’re here to help with a list of places we know will be open.

Check it out.

If you want to get a buzz on...

Dunkin’ Donuts | 5 a.m.–1 p.m. | Most Dunkin Donuts locations | If you need some coffee to help get you through your family Christmas, Dunkin’ will be here to save the day. Take note of the shortened hours though.

Starbucks | Hours vary by location | Most Starbucks locations | You’ll want to call ahead, but you can likely count on your local Starbucks to serve you some piping hot eggnog lattes.

Hair of the Dog | 5 p.m.–3 a.m. | 334 Market St. | Okay, it’s a different kind of buzz, but one you might need just as much. 🍺

Perhaps some Christmas waffles…

IHOP | Open 24/7 | Most IHOP locations | You can absolutely get Grinch pancakes at 2 a.m.

Waffle House | Open 24/7 | Any Waffle House location | This is a good one to tuck away in the back of your head in case you need to escape at any time day or night.

Want to take the relatives out for Chattanooga classics...

City Cafe | Open 24 hours | Any location | The hostess said, “Hahahahaha, honey, we never close.”

Yellow Deli | Open 24 hours | 737 McCallie Ave. | Because Christmas falls within the restaurant’s 24/5 workday schedule, you can count on the fact that the Yellow Deli will be up and running.

Beast and Barrel | 2 p.m.–10 | 16 Frazier Ave. | This is a good option if you want something in between Shoney’s and Ruth’s Chris.

Big River Grille Downtown | 4 p.m.–10 | 222 Broad St. | Be careful, only the downtown location will be open on this day.

Want something else?

Ruth’s Chris | Hours may vary | 2321 Lifestyle Way | Ruth’s Chris will be serving its full menu on Christmas and New Year’s along with some extra holiday dishes.

Shoney’s | Hours may vary | All Shoney’s locations | Shoney’s will be keeping up with its 70-year tradition of serving Christmas dinner with a buffet full of turkey, ham, fried chicken, cornbread dressing, sweet potato casserole, collard greens and more.
