Local tech company Skuid last week “reorganized” staff, which means some people lost their jobs, and the company is making strategic budget cuts in general, a spokeswoman said. Skuid Public Relations Manager Ellie Hildebrand declined to say how many people were affected or give additional details about the situation. The news comes as Skuid just made Inc.com’s list of the country’s fastest growing companies. In an email Hildebrand said:

We did a reorg last week and are making strategic budget cuts in general. These decisions are always difficult and while we are eliminating roles in some areas, we are adding roles in other strategic areas. Skuid is offering severance packages and assistance with transition planning to anyone affected. In the midst of some hard news, there’s a lot of positive news to celebrate. We announced a major release, Skuid Spark, this week and are keeping on.

Skuid is a cloud design-and-deploy app assembly platform, which has received other coups in the past.
