This weekend, the Lookouts and the Barons will play as the Chattanooga Choo-Choos and the Birmingham Black Barons — with both teams wearing special historic uniforms in honor of the second annual Negro League Appreciation Weekend, in partnership with the Bessie Smith Cultural Center.

Friday’s festivities feature post-game fireworks, and on Saturday, the first 1,000 Noogans score a Choo-Choos pennant.

The Lookouts will be joined by former Negro Leagues players, and both pregame ceremonies will honor visiting players and the history of the Negro Leagues.*
