Roll up your sleeves, Chattanooga — Super Tuesday, AKA the primaries — will be here before we know it. Tennesseans will make their way to the polls on March 3rd to vote for their Democratic or Republican presidential preferences heading into the 2020 election.
Okay, so it’s two months away, but in order to vote, you have to be registered by Feb. 3. And early voting starts Feb. 12. For more important dates, check out the Hamilton County Election Commission website.

Trista here, and I know — it sounds like one more thing on a long to-do list, but registering to vote (or just checking to make sure you’re registered) is so easy. We even have a local branch of a non-partisan voter registration organization, HeadCount, ready to help. HeadCount uses concerts + cultural events to bring people together about their mission: getting people prepared to fulfill their civic duty + vote.
I sat down with the head volunteer of our chapter, Ann Couillard, to learn more about voting in Hamilton County, how to volunteer + the registration process. 🗳️
