We may not get a white Christmas here in the Scenic City, but if one thing’s for sure, it’s going to be a bright one. Neighborhoods, local businesses, and parks alike are bringing extravagant displays of holiday lights to Chattanooga.

Whether you want to walk through the lights or look at them from the comfort of your vehicle, here are 10 spots in the area to see holiday lights.

Take a stroll

Asian Lantern Festival, Chattanooga Zoo, 301 N. Holtzclaw Ave.
See over 30 illuminated lanterns and interactive displays as you journey throughout the zoo.

Enchanted Garden of Lights, Rock City, 1400 Patten Rd., Lookout Mountain, GA
Walk through Rock City Garden’s winter wonderland featuring over one million LED lights. Note: Tickets are only sold online.

Festive Forest, Miller Park, 928 Market St.
See 50 lighted trees decorated by local businesses and organizations. Pro tip: Head across the street to check out EPB’s holiday window displays.

Christmas on the Mountain, Ruby Falls, 1720 Scenic Hwy.
See the beautiful holiday lights on the Village Plaza + enjoy festive activities at the historic castle.

Christmas Lights at The Commons, 4750 Swinyar Dr., Collegedale
See the displays, a lighted 45-ft tree, and other festive decorations.

Holidays Under the Peaks, Tennessee Aquarium, 1 Broad St.
Now through Sunday, Dec. 31, experience holiday decor and music + see a light-bedecked tree twinkling in sync with jolts from Miguel Wattson, the aquarium’s electric eel.

Walnut Street Bridge, 1 Walnut St.
See the twinkling snowflakes while you walk the pedestrian bridge — best viewed at night.

Go for a ride

NoogaLights, 12000 Dayton Pk., Soddy-Daisy
Take a drive through Soddy-Daisy + tune into an FM radio station for music timed to the light show.

Scenic City Lights, 4095 Brock Rd.
This drive-up show features thousands of LED lights + has a given radio station for an immersive holiday experience. Pro tip: Check the Facebook page out before going to a show in case of cancellations for inclement weather.

Christmas Lights Tours, Nooga Shuttles
Take a tour on a 14-passenger executive shuttle to visit some of the decorated homes throughout Chattanooga.
