Rise + shine, Chattanooga. ☀️ Last week, we asked you what you want us to cover in 2020, and we got a lot of good responses. Many of you want us to keep covering new restaurants, development + hiking trails, national parks, etc. However, overwhelmingly y’all want to know where you can lend a hand and volunteer.

Trista here, and it’s one of my 2020 goals, too, so I was excited to see you all get hyped about spending some of your free time helping out in the community. Since I’ve lived in Chattanooga, I’ve volunteered for two different organizations, ChattaVegan + The Women’s Fund, and I’d like to add so many more to that list this year.

But to do that we want your help, and it seems as if many other Noogans need some guidance, too.

So, Chattanooga — where do you like to give your time? We have plenty of good resources, like IHelpChattanooga and VolunteerMatch, but there’s nothing quite like word-of-mouth to help foster a community.

And on the flipside, let us know where your interests lie when it comes to volunteering. Maybe you want to take care of animals or children. Maybe you want to plant some trees or hang flyers to spread the word about a topic you care about. Whatever it is, we’re excited to help you start your journey.
