Hi Chattanooga. 👋 Intern Cassidy here. I just graduated from UTC, and I’m so glad to be done with school — college is hard work, but the experience is worth it. Not everyone attends college right out of high school, but as they say, it’s never too late to go back to school.

It can definitely be overwhelming trying to figure out where to go back to school and how to do it. Luckily, there are a lot of adult learning programs offered in Chattanooga.

If you’re an adult learner, check out the resources below. 👇

📚 Chattanooga School of Language | CSL offers 13 different language classes for adults, including English.

📚 Chattanooga State Community College | Chatt State offers many options for the adult learner, from certificates in web design to a culinary arts program and a lot more in between.

📚 Northside Neighborhood House | The NNH is an organization in North Chattanooga that provides education + assistance to Chattanooga residents. They offer an adult education program to help adults earn the equivalent of their high school diploma.

📚 Southeast Tennessee Adult Education | They offer free classes to help adults earn the equivalent of their high school diploma, and vouchers to pay for the High School Equivalency Test.

📚 The Tennessee Board of Regents | The TBR website has a page specifically dedicated to helping adult learners get the process of going back to school started, including financial help and a comprehensive list of programs throughout the state.

📚 Tennessee Reconnect | The Tennessee Reconnect program is an initiative to give adults a higher education that will allow them to advance in the workplace. With this program, TN residents can go to any 40 community or technical colleges within the College System of Tennessee for up to two years tuition-free.

📚 UTC Adult Learner Resources | UTC compiled a masterpost of resources for adult learners, including tips, trends + statistics on returning to school.

📚 UTC Online | UTC offers a wide variety of degrees for adults to earn online for those who have a busy schedule.
