As much as we love singing Billy Madison’s classic back to school song, we don’t love saying that school will start back soon. Here’s a quick rundown on first days + back to school events in the area.

  • Back to School Night | Fri., Aug. 5 | 5-8 p.m. | Downtown Ringgold | Eat, shop + rep your school in downtown Ringgold.
  • Back to School Movie Night | Fri., Aug. 5 | 7-9 p.m. | The Local Juicery + Kitchen, 48 E. Main St. | Let the kids enjoy complimentary popcorn and a smoothie while watching “Sing 2.”
  • HCS Back to School Bash | Sat., Aug. 6 | 10 a.m.-1 p.m. | First Horizon Pavilion | Families will receive free backpacks + school supplies from community partners.
  • Back 2 School Bash | Sat., Aug. 6 | 12-3 p.m. | Pruett’s Market,1210 Taft Hwy. | Celebrate back to school with food, live music, and vendors.
  • Back to School Health Fair | Sat., Aug. 13 | 10 a.m.-1 p.m. | Cambridge Square, 9453 Bradmore Ln., Ooltewah | Receive free health consultations + information, plus a chance to win family tickets to Dollywood.
