Chattanoogans have a unique sense of pride for their community and amazing love for their city. It’s practically a requirement for living here.

In the past, for Valentine’s Day, I’ve written about all the things I love about this city including how the city has changed and flourished, that people from all over the country and world come here to live and that leaving for a couple of years made me appreciate it even more.

This year we asked you to share what you love about Chattanooga. The top response was the people, and we can’t argue with that. 🙌

  • “It’s entrepreneurial spirit and love of all things local.” — @refinery423
  • “The food, beers, and people.” — @thebitteralibi
  • “The amazingly eclectic and diverse community we share!” — @chattamomma
  • “So much! Especially the local restaurants and nature trails. I’ve really enjoyed getting my daily @noogatoday email. The email is packed with so much local news and info. Thanks!” — @chattaestheticroom
  • “Community 🙌” — @womenrepairzone

  • “The incredible soccer community. I’ve met some awesome people through rec leagues and @chattanoogafc.” — @cheystriker

  • “It’s big enough but not too big and still has a foodie and tech scene! We are moving that way officially in a couple weeks :)” — @josiemcoffman

  • “The people. I love the people.” — @chatlien423

  • “The hospitals. Incredible.” — @kdistasio1

  • “Local, local, local!” — @ailicecem

  • “Bigger city perks in a small town! Also all the late night eateries are a college kid’s dream come true !” — @tescherian

  • “The ability to do just about anything you want. At any time of the year. It’s a friendly warm environment.” — @ann_messina_janecek

  • “As a lifelong Chattanoogan (with a few moves away and then back), just watching the growth and development of our town in my almost 5 decades growing up and living here. Also the community pride and working to make this a great town!” @holleywcox

And we’ve got to give a special love note to our current Strategic Partners, who help make NOOGAtoday possible every day: EPB, Market City Center, Warehouse Row + Elliott Davis.

Here’s to a Valentine’s Day with loved ones in the city we love so much. 💘
