We’re two days into October + temperatures are still as sweltering as an Ironman competitor on mile 139.

This leaves us no other choice but to carry on as if fall temperatures were already here, in hopes of wishing the season into existence. At least it’s supposed to dip below 90º this weekend. We can’t change the weather, but we can point you in the direction of places that we hope will make you feel like it’s fall.

Check out these area pumpkin patches to get the autumn + Halloween spirit going.

🎃 Near + dear

  • Weaver Tree Farms | 308 Signal Mountain Rd. | 9 a.m.-9 p.m. | This pumpkin patch is known for its signature inflatable pumpkin that can be seen on Signal Mountain Road every fall season. (They also sell Christmas trees near the holiday season.)
  • Blowing Springs Farm | 271 Chattanooga Valley Rd., Flintstone GA | Fri., Sat. + Sun. 10 a.m.-7 p.m. | After a quick 10- minute drive from downtown, you can experience this pumpkin farm complete with hayrides, pedal cars + delicious food.
  • Old McDonald’s Farm | 16705 Coulterville Rd., Sale Creek TN | Sat. 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Sun. 12 p.m.-7 p.m. | While this patch is a bit further down the road (roughly 30-40 minutes from downtown-still ‘near + dear’), its hayrides, petting zoo + corn maze make up for the time spent in the car.
  • Main Street Farmers Market | West Main St. + Chestnut St. | Wed. 4-6 p.m. | Head to the farmers market downtown, where various local vendors have their pumpkins for sale, along with other gourds + veggies.

🎃 A drive to arrive

  • Guthrie Pumpkin Farm | 490 County Road, Riceville TN | Fri. + Sat. 11 a.m. -7 p.m., Sun. 1- 6 p.m. | Admission to this farm includes a hayride to the pumpkin patch, corn maze, obstacle course + more.
  • The River Maze | 1371 Highway 64, Ocoee TN | Fri. 5-9 p.m., Sat. 11 a.m. - 9 p.m., Sun., 1-5 p.m. | This pumpkin patch also has two escape rooms for maximum fall fun.
  • Copper Creek Farm | 1514 Reeves Station, Calhoun GA | Fri., 5-10:30 p.m., Sat. 10 a.m.- 10:30 p.m. | This farm doesn’t disappoint with more than 20 attractions besides pumpkin picking, such as a wagon hayride, zip line + barn loft slide.
