Music can be healing + inspirational, and — call us biased — but it’s even better when the creators are from Chattanooga.

Several locally based musicians have recently released new music + we’ve got the rundown.

🎵Bbymutha
Chattanooga rapper Bbymutha recently released a 25-track album, “Muthaland.” The local creator has also started her own business Mutha Magick Apothecary — and said “Muthaland” might be her last album. Either way, we’re hopeful we will get more local creations from this musician-turned-entrepreneur.

🎵 BROCRISP, Paul Smallman + Summer Dregs
Three locals contributed to this new single, “Head to Toe.” BROCRISP started his career in local high school musicals, and Smallman is a former Covenant College student. Local producer, writer, and musician Summer Dregs is also a popular Chattanooga name.

🎵 Jason Lyles
In October, Lyles released this video, which features scenes from Chattanooga. He’s been in the Chattanooga and North Georgia music scene since 2003. He’s also performed at Nightfall and other local shows.

🎵 Nick Lutsko
He brought the Halloween fun last week, but he also released a new single, called “Spineless,” in August.

🎵 Strung Like A Horse
This Chattanooga favorite recently released its debut studio album called, “Whoa!”. The Transoceanic Records album was produced by Grammy-winner Matt Ross-Spang, who has worked with big names like Jason Isbell, Margo Price + John Prine. The band recently hosted a sold-out, socially distanced show at The Signal.
