Hit the green at these local clubs and courses.

We can’t think of a better way to soak in Chattanooga’s green space than spending some time on the links. Whether you’re looking to connect outdoors with friends or you’re honing in on the perfect swing, here are 21 golf courses to make a tee time around the Scenic City.

Members only

McLemore Club , 32 Clubhouse Ln., Rising Fawn, GA | Play on the edge (cliffside that is) atop Lookout Mountain at this course. While this golf community has a membership program, there are chances for the public to come and test the green by playing as “Friends of McLemore” once per season.

Black Creek Club , 4700 Cummings Cove Dr. | Nestled in a residential community, this spot offers a 7,204-yard course that is “the only top 100 residential golf course in the state of Tennessee,” according to its members.

Lookout Mountain Club , 1201 Fleetwood Dr., Lookout Mountain | Join this club to play on its classic 18-hole course that welcomes the annual Swing Ding golf celebration.

Chattanooga Golf & Country Club , 1511 Riverview Rd. | This club is membership by invitation only and has full amenities from its golf course to its pool. Note: Non-members are allowed to golf by the club’s guidelines .

Council Fire Club , 100 Council Fire Dr. | Curated for members + their guests, the course spans over 114 acres of Bermuda green with lakes and streams over the terrain.

Creeks Bend Golf Club , 5900 Hixson Pk., Hixson | Offering service to its members seven days a week, putt around for fun or in weekly games that are held for men and women.

Signal Mountain Golf & Country Club , 809 James Blvd., Signal Mountain | Take your golfing expertise to the mountains with natural slopes. The club also offers a pool and full-service dining.

The Honors Course , 9603 Lee Hwy., Ooltewah | If you’re an amateur golfer looking to build a community on the green, look no further. This club’s mission has been focused on serving amateur golfers since 1983.

The Ooltewah Club , 7502 Snow Hill Rd., Ooltewah | Nestled in the foot of White Oak Mountain, this private club features an 18-hole course and underwent rebranding in 2020.

WindStone Golf Club , 9230 Windstone Dr.
Ringgold, GA | Choose from a variety of membership packages to enjoy this club’s tee time, pool, and other amenities.

Brainerd Golf Course , 5203 Old Mission Rd. | Serving as one of Chattanooga’s oldest golf courses, you can find lots of rolling acreage and mature trees. Guests can also enjoy a full-service pro shop and snack bar.

Moccasin Bend Golf Course , 381 Moccasin Bend Rd. | With four different sets of tees for all skill levels and water areas coming into play, this 18-hole course welcomes everyone.

Brown Acres Golf Course , 406 Brown Rd. | This course features a newly built clubhouse with a full-service snack bar and shop + a new driving range.

Valleybrook Golf & Country Club , 180 Valleybrook Rd. | This semi-private club offers members and guests to play on its course, which was one of the first 18-hole residential golf course communities in the country. Bonus: The club was recently re-envisioned .

Bear Trace at Harrison Bay , 8919 Harrison Bay Rd., Harrison | With open green spaces surrounded by both water and heavily-wooded land, this golf trail offers an experience that can be enjoyed by and accessible to all abilities.

Montlake Golf Course , 9104 Brow Lake Rd., Soddy-Daisy | Located atop Mowbray Mountain, this course will give players a challenging and scenic terrain to putt on.

Sweetens Cove Golf Club , 2040 Sweetens Cove Rd, South Pittsburg | Take a ~25 minute drive outside of Chattanooga to this course that was ranked “21st Best Course You Can Play in the United States” by Golfweek.

Sir Goony’s Family Fun Center , 5918 Brainerd Rd. | This family-friendly center has it all — mini-golf, go-karts, laser tag, batting cages, and much more for a day full of fun.

Albatross Golf Sim & Bar , 388 Somerville Ave. | Choose your golf adventure at this indoor simulator and bar that offers experience for all levels and abilities.

Topgolf , 490 Camp Jordan Pkwy. | Whether you’re looking to hang with just a few friends or throw a bigger party, try out this high-tech golf game.

Choo Choo Golf Academy & Range , 1073 Mackey Ave. | If you’re new to golfing or even if you want to tune up those skills, this spot offers a teaching academy with the use of Trackman. Once you’re ready, take the game outside at one of the on-site bays.
