Chattanooga City Treasurer Theresa Lee recently announced she will resigning from her position to join the United Soccer League. Lee will be taking up a position in community outreach with Chattanooga’s new professional soccer league. The city announced Lee’s resignation during City Council’s agenda session on Tuesday. Her resignation will take effect on Thursday. Assistant Treasurer Shannon Morris will be stepping into Lee’s position as an interim city treasurer. Alina Hunter-Grah is a contributing writer.
