In honor of Small Business Week, we asked 15 local entrepreneurs to pass the mic to highlight Chattanooga small businesses everyone should know about. Here’s what they had to say.

Ann Trammell Bakhaus, Embellish Collection
Mosaic Home is one of my go-to spots in town! They have the best selection of stylish and colorful home essentials — think beautiful tableware, fun glassware, and great hostess gifts. Plus, they even have wine and pre-made treats, making it easy to grab something last minute for entertaining or just to enjoy at home. It’s such a unique shop, and we didn’t have anything like it in Chattanooga before!”

Jenna Parker, Waves Wellness & Counseling Services
Cluster Funk Studios! Brooke beautifully mixes art, humor, life, and culture in all of her unique designs. All of my favorite shirts and stickers are Cluster Funk.”

Morgan Holl, Overlooked Materials
“We’d recommend NewTerra Compost for providing services that help divert organic materials from the landfills.”

Mary Alice, Market on the Mountain
Vine Street Market — it has been around for several years, the food is amazing, the atmosphere is casual, and it is a family business.”

Karina Mueller, Kenai Massage
The Catalogue Collection. The owner really makes an effort to focus her diverse retail choices for her customers. She delivers high fashion for a reasonable price, and I think that is something we need more of!”

Emily Lloyd, Scenic City Clay Arts
“When I think of Chattanooga, I think of The Book & Cover, The Chattery, and Niedlov’s Bakery & Cafe. They all do a great job of hosting a welcoming environment for locals and visitors alike, and they are the best of the best at what they do.”

Heath Hanson, Naughty Cat Cafe
The Hummus Bowl. True mom and pop place. World-class people bringing authentic cuisine made with pride.”

Tamara Bowers, Riverside Bed and Breakfast
Sophie’s Shoppe! They are so great to work with and offer a wide range of gifts and household items.”

Peggy Townsend, Townsend Atelier
The Hot Chocolatier. They started in the business incubator down the hall from us when we started, and moved to Main Street in the same building when we did, until we all found our permanent homes where we are now. It has been nice to watch a fellow incubator grad fly the coop and be successful.”

The booths at Main St. Farmers Market.

Main St. Farmers Market is open year-round on Wednesdays so you can snag local, sustainable snacks and more.

Alysia Leon, Bird Fork Farm
“Too many! Come check us out and all the other amazing local farms and food artisans at Main Street Farmers Market every Wednesday.”

Jenny Stripling, Northside Neighborhood House
Zi Olive on the North Shore — some of the best and most unique olive oils and balsamic oils to up your cooking game!”

Caroline Allison, The Meeting House
Grabel’s Bagels is a must-try! They are our bagel supplier and have the most delicious New York-style bagels in town!”

Jennie Bartoletti, Four Bridges Outfitters
Chattanooga Yarn Co., because they provide classes and amazing products to the fiber arts community in town.”

Suzanne Igoe, PURE Face Care
Alex Sachel — she is a local wardrobe consultant. I worked with her to revamp my wardrobe this year. I turned 50, and I wanted to show up and own my look and feel polished. I cannot refer her enough. She was priceless for my day-to-day wardrobe, my outlook on myself, and how I present myself every day. I did not realize how important it was.”

Emma Reigel, Gowin Valley Farms
Sacred Harvest Co.! They do amazingly unique plants, plus moss frames and natural art.”
