Nonprofit Chattanooga Food Coalition has teamed up with Communities Speak to assess residents’ experiences happening around the Scenic City.

Communities Speak, an initiative started in New York at Columbia University, is a way that organizations can collect data to help shape local policies based on needs it identifies.

I went ahead and filled out the survey to give you an idea of what questions will be asked:

  • Demographics | How long you’ve been a resident, area you live in, age, identifiers, education + household info
  • Living situation | Income + job status (six months to current), if you own or rent, recent financial hardships, and access to resources
  • Rating the city | Services, organizations + experiences
  • Lifestyle | Access to healthy food options + any additional stressors, if applicable

Take the ~15-minute survey online — don’t worry, it’s anonymous. It only asks for your contact information if you wish to be contacted by Communities Speak.
