The Chattanooga Filmmakers Guild is bringing award-winning filmmaker Dagan W. Beckett to the Scenic City for a free class on Sunday, Feb. 23. Beckett won an Emmy for his documentary film “Songbirds,” which explores the story of the guitar museum + collection located in Chattanooga.

Bonus: You can watch “Songbirds” on Amazon, Tubi, Peacock, or Apple TV.

Aspiring filmmakers can head to the fifth floor of The Edney Innovation Center beginning at 5 p.m. to hear from Beckett and his experience working on his past films. Additionally, there will be a Q+A session with Beckett and various film composers where they will answer questions like finding the right composer for a project and budgeting for film scoring.

Register to attend the class online — all you need to bring is your burning movie questions.
