New TEDxChattanooga event to highlight local conservation efforts

TEDxChattanooga is partnering with the Southeast Conservation Corps (SCC) to highlight local and regional conservation efforts through educational talks.

Stewards of Nature will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 4 at The Historic. The lineup includes five local speakers who are leaders in the outdoors, conservation, and environmental spaces.

Folks will hear from:

  • Gail Loveland Barille | Director of Outdoor Chattanooga
  • Joel Houser | Director of capital grants at Open Space Institute
  • Shawanna Kendrick | Founder + CEO of The H2O Life
  • Charlie Mix | GIS director of IGTLab at UTC
  • Daniella Paz-Peterson | Tennessee director of welcoming places at Trust for Public Land

Bonus: Doors will open at 6:15 p.m. with bites from Mac’s Kitchen + curated vendors to shop from. Beer and wine will also be available for purchase.
