Where to watch fireworks for the Fourth of July

Independence Day is right around the corner, and to help with making plans, we’ve rounded up some local celebrations + fireworks shows for you and your loved ones to enjoy this Fourth of July.

Fireworks shows

Chickamauga Independence Celebration, Downtown Chickamauga (on Gordon Street)

Celebrate the holiday early on Saturday, June 28 from 4 to 10 p.m. There will be a mechanical bull, a rock-climbing wall, live music, and a fireworks show.

Pops on the River, Coolidge Park

This beloved celebration will kick off on Thursday, July 3 at 6 p.m. with free outdoor music by Chattanooga Soul and local musicians, a performance by the Chattanooga Symphony & Opera, and a fireworks display at 9:45 p.m.

Pro tips: Food + drinks will be available to purchase on-site. Free parking will be available at the Unum Parking lot with a shuttle running from 4 to 11 p.m.

Collegedale Freedom Festival, The Commons, Collegedale

The City of Collegedale will celebrate Independence Day on Thursday, July 3 beginning at 4 p.m. Expect live music, a variety of food vendors, and activities like pie tastings — the fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m.

July 4th Celebration, Downtown Dunlap

Come out to the Fourth of July Parade on Friday, July 4 beginning at 9 a.m. Following the procession, folks can enjoy festivities and a day of live music in Harris Park. The festivities will end with a fireworks show at 9 p.m.

Lakesite Freedom Celebration, Dallas Bay Church, Hixson

The City of Lakesite will gather on Friday, July 4 from 6 to 10 p.m. for its Independence Day celebration. Entry to the event is free, and there will be activities for the kids and food and drinks available for purchase. Then, watch the grand finale fireworks show.

Independence Day Fireworks, AT&T Field

Join the Chattanooga Lookouts on Friday, July 4 + Saturday, July 5 for a postgame fireworks show. Tickets start at $12.

Jasper’s Big Boom, Jasper Ball Complex

Celebrate freedom at this free event with food, vendors, music by BoomTown Saints, and a fireworks show starting at 9 p.m.

Soddy-Daisy Independence Celebration, Soddy Lake Park, Soddy-Daisy

Enjoy an all-day celebration on Saturday, July 5 beginning at 10 a.m. Come out for food trucks, games for the kids, a petting zoo, a car show, vendors, live music, and a fireworks display at dark. Entry is free.

Fireworks Fest, The Colonnade, Ringgold, GA

This annual celebration on Saturday, July 5 kicks off at 3 p.m. Start the day with a makers market, kids zone, and food trucks; end the event with a fireworks show when it’s dark. Admission is free.

Carnival Americana, McLemore Club, Rising Fawn, GA

Head to this mountaintop resort on Saturday, July 5 beginning at 6 p.m. for live music by Americana artist Sarah Darling, inflatables, a putting green, and food + drinks. The celebration will end with a fireworks show. Tickets start at $25.
