New development at Jordan Crossing in East Ridge, TN

Like a mini “dirtiest city,” East Ridge is on the come up and is no longer just strip malls + used car lots. Flashback to 2006 when this song was making its rounds.

Flash forward 15 years, and the small city is doing some cool things, particularly on + around Camp Jordan Parkway, also known as Jordan Crossing. Of course, there’s the park, but there are also new eateries, new attractions, and a lot of room for more growth. If you haven’t been to Camp Jordan in a while, keep reading to see what’s new.

⚽ Camp Jordan

Soccer expansion — There is currently ongoing construction for four new soccer fields at the park. This area regularly holds soccer camps for students.

The park also has baseball fields, a walking/running track, outdoor + indoor venues, canoeing + kayaking inputs, bike trails, picnic areas, a fishing lake, a playground, and team building courses + it’s dog-friendly.

🍴 Food + drink

Buddy’s Bar-B-Q — A Knoxville barbecue restaurant with 25 locations throughout the East Tennessee area + three in the Chattanooga area. You can get pulled pork, wings, and ribs with southern-style sides.

Dairy Queen — The fast food chain opened on Dec. 15, 2020.

Dos BrosComing soon. This Cleveland-based fast casual Mexican restaurant with five other area locations is slated to open in late January.

Jonathan’s Grille — A Tennessee sports bar + restaurant with eight locations throughout the state. The menu offers pub food and a popular two-for-one beer special on the beer of the month. It opened late last year.

Starbucks — This popular coffee chain opened in September of 2019.

Bonus: Chick-fil-a has been open at Jordan Crossing since spring 2018.

💅 Personal care

Lexor Nail Spa — A nail salon offering manicures + pedicures with various options such as dip powder, gel, a honey and cinnamon pedicure, etc.

⛳ Recreation

Craft Axe Throwing — An axe-throwing venue with 10 throwing lanes and a bar. It opened in November 2020. You can join a league or just enjoy one-hour sessions with your friends.

Top Golf — An entertainment venue featuring a golf-like game where participants score points by hitting microchipped golf balls at giant field targets. There is also food + drink available.

Chattanooga Red Wolves Soccer Club — An American professional soccer club + founding member of USL League One, the third division of American soccer. The stadium is half-finished and expected to be closer to completion this year.
