Today there’s an opportunity to support local nonprofits who are in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Chloé here and one of the best ways to take your mind off your own troubles is to help someone else. I’ve experienced that again and again.

It’s natural + essential to worry about ourselves, but our minds can easily get stuck in a self-centered, woe-is-me loop, and before you know it you’re sitting in the dark, shoveling Funyuns in your mouth, listening to your sad-song playlist on endless repeat thinking no one has ever had problems as serious as yours. Now is your chance to get outside that loop + help others.

Giving Tuesday usually happens during the holidays, but organizers have created #GivingTuesdayNow — a new “global day of giving and unity” that’s happening TODAY.

The goal

“Let’s come together to create a wave of generosity, citizen engagement, action from businesses and philanthropists, and support for communities and nonprofits around the world — starting right here in the Chattanooga region.” #CHAgives
