It’s kitten season, which isn’t as cute as it sounds.

What is it? The time of year when shelters experience overflow due to the high volume of cat litters born.

When is it? Between April and October.

How can you help? By ensuring your cats are spayed + neutered to reduce the amount of litters being born.

DYK? Cats are able to get pregnant at the age of just 4 months old.

💰 $50 adoption fee for cats + kittens

🐱 Adoption includes:

  • Spay/neuter
  • Microchipping
  • Rabies vaccinations for cats older than 3 months
  • Age appropriate vaccinations
  • Adult cats tested for FIV/FeLV
McKamey Animal Center

💰 Prices vary:

  • Under 6 months: $100
  • 6 months-3 years: $75
  • Over 3 years: $35
  • Second cat/kitten: half off
  • Senior + barn cats: free

HES provides all necessary veterinary care for animals in the foster program, including medications, vaccinations, and medical care + necessary supplies.

MAC will provide all preventative care + medical needs, but asks that fosters provide blankets, litter, litter boxes, food, toys, and other necessities.
