Election Day is Tues., Nov. 8, and early voting for the State and Federal General Election will end this Thurs., Nov. 3. To make this election as easy as possible, we’ve curated need-to-know information about how and where to vote.
Find your Election Day polling place with this voter information tool. Once you plug in your information, your polling place will pop up.
Residents can vote at any location where early voting is conducted through Thurs., Nov. 3. No matter when you vote, you’ll be required to show an ID with your name and photograph.
What’s on the ballot
The following positions (via the link below) have atleast two people running opposed for office. Those running unopposed in the election are not listed. Find all election candidates on the sample general ballot.

Yesterday, officials announced that the Chattanooga Choo Choo’s hotel and gardens will undergo a $10+ million restoration. The renovated hotel will feature 102 rooms in the original building + 25 Pullman train car rooms. (Chattanooga Times Free Press)

La Paz Chattanooga was the recipient of Hamilton County Schools’ Equity in Education Award. The organization was recognized for its advocacy + outreach supporting Latino families and children in the local public school system.
Urban Air Chattanooga will host a free event for first responders + their families on Thurs., Nov. 3 from 4-8 p.m. Attendees will have access to all of the park’s attractions and can RSVP online (select the first responders event) — make sure to bring your work badge or ID.

UTC will rename Vine Steet— the section of road from Lupton Hall to Palmetto Street —Dr. Roland Carter Street to honor the internationally recognized composer + UTC professor emeritus. The chambers where the Chattanooga City Council hosts its weekly meetings will receive physical improvements + upgrades to audio and visual equipment. Chattanooga’s annual two-day Head of the Hooch regatta willtake place this weekend, Saturday, Nov. 4-Sunday, Nov. 5.
Folks can gather along the Tennessee River to cheer on registered teams as they row a 4,500-meter course that will end at Ross’s Landing. Pro tip: Check out the full race schedule.
